Georgia Outdoor Survival Skills

From the time I was small roaming the woods in the backyard in south Alabama, I have loved the outdoors. As a teenager, I enjoyed fishing, camping and experimenting with different ways of cooking over an open fire. In 1980, I spent 2-3 days each week of the spring solo camping  in the Pisgah National Forest with a blanket, knife, water bottle, matches and some food (O.K. I know that was not very smart). As an adult I continue to enjoy the outdoors with both modern and primitive skills. I have instructed 2 week courses for several years for a search and rescue school, and teacht at FDR State Park. The instruction I offer comes through a lifetime of experimenting, studying and practicing outdoor skills. Skills need practice. "Plan ahead", "be prepared" and "practice skills." - Jimmy

Philosophy of Instruction

"I believe the God of the Bible is the Creator of the creation that we enjoy."
Jimmy Culpepper, Instructor

"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars,  which you have set in place,  what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?  O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"      Psalm 8:3-4;9
