Demonstration of making a friction fire using the hand drill method

   
Demonstration of making cordage from bark.

Describes how to remove bark from limbs and how to twist the fibers to make cord.
   
This video demonstrates how to make a string or cord using a yucca leaf for fibers. You can you this same technique on other long leaf plants and on stalks such as thistle and milk weed.
   
Demonstration of how to make a bow drill fire from all natural materials using a piece of a pine knot, cat tail stalk, a willow limb, a random stick and a yucca leaf. I came up with a unique way to provide tension on the string without breaking the cat tail drill using a finger loop.
