"I believe the God of the Bible is
the Creator of the creation that we enjoy."

"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the
moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4
what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you
care for him? 9
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"
Psalm 8:3-4;9

'It
shouldn't cost a fortune to learn to rub two sticks together.'
I believe that whole heartedly. -Jimmy |
| BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH |
From the time I was small
roaming the woods in the backyard in south Alabama, I have
loved the outdoors. As a teenager, I enjoyed fishing,
camping and experimenting with different ways of cooking over an
open fire. In 1980, I spent 2-3 days each week of the spring
solo camping in the Pisgah National Forest with a blanket,
knife, water bottle, matches and some food (O.K. I know that was
not very smart). As an adult I continue
to enjoy the outdoors with both modern and primitive skills. I have instructed 2 week courses
several years for a search and rescue
school, and regularly teach at FDR State Park.
The instruction I offer comes through a lifetime of practicing
outdoor skills. Skills need practice. "Plan ahead", "be prepared" and
"practice skills." - Jimmy |
